A Day to Brag.

So I decided today was the day to brag. Our jewelry has made it to the spot light every now and then and we though we would share with you some of our favorites.

Let's start with our first and possibly greatest, the Oscar Good Luck Pins we made for The Lord of The Ring's crew, commissioned by TheOneRing.net.

The pins were worn by various cast and crew members at the awards ceremony during the three years the Lords of The Ring trilogy was up for Oscars. We were all screaming the night Peter Jackson accepted the Oscar for Best Picture and Best Director not only because we loved the movies so much, but because a little piece of BJS Inc was up there with him.

Last year we were thrilled and delighted, some of us to the point of screaming and jumping up and down, to find out another talented director liked our work. On June 1 2009, Guillermo del Toro, director of Hell Boy and Pan's Labyrinth appeard on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson wearing our Miskatonic University Class Ring. Not only did Mr. del Toro show the ring to Mr. Ferguson, but they both geeked out over it.

We also were thrilled out of our minds when a little show called The Big Bang Theory purchased three of our 24k. gold plated Gollum Gold One Rings TM which were featured in the episode "The Precious Theory".

And Some Pictures:

We also had a pair of rings purchased last year from the props department for The Soccer's Apprentice. Whether the rings will make it into the film has yet to be seen, but keep your eyes peeled for the following two rings.

So there you have it, a couple brushes of fame with the big and small screen. They have made our little geek hearts leap with joy.

And now we blog.

Welcome to the Badali Jewelry's very first blog!

You may be asking your self "Why should I follow this blog, don't you already have a website?" The answer is; yes, we do have a fully functional website but by having a blog we will be able to offer our fans things that we can't on our regular site.

"What things?", you now ask. We are going to provide you with useful tips, facts and advice that come with a life time of jewelry experience. We will also provide exclusive coupon codes, background information on the origins and stories of jewelry items, and up to date information about new products and licenses.

But don't think this is a one sided arrangement. We hope to get something out of this bolg as well. "What is that mysterious BJS Inc blog master?" In two words, Feed Back. Blogging gives us the opportunity to have an open dialog with you, something we only get a few days out of the year at conventions. We want to know what you would like to see us make, after all, that is why we do what we do. If you have an idea for a line of jewelry, a book series you want to recommend, questions on how to care for your jewelry or just general feed back, please share it with us. It makes us happy to make you happy.

You will be hearing directly from Janelle and Paul mostly, but we may be able to get the whole crew to make a post every now and then. Please be patience with Janelle, she's never blogged before and it may take her a little while to get a hang of this new confounded technology.
